The Muslim American Journeys project is open to Muslim storytellers over 18 years or older who have a story to tell. MALA welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and levels of observance to share their stories. Everyone has a story!

Reach Out

Get in touch with MALA’s storytelling team by sending a filling out the form below

Schedule your Session

A member of MALA’s team will reach out to you directly to schedule a StoryCorps remote storytelling session

Tell your Story

During your 1-hour StoryCorps session, a member of MALA’s team will interview you in a free-flowing casual storytelling session

Production and Archiving

Your story will be professionally produced, transcribe and archived in the National Library of Congress and in MALA’s digital story archive

Share your Story

With your written consent your story will be shared widely, and serve in perpetuity as a tool for education, cultural exchange, and community building. If you wish to keep your story private, MALA also honors this wish
