Abdullah Motiwala is the founder of Heaven’s Honey Inc. A goal oriented business leader with a strong  focus on continued progress and action driven leadership, Abdullah  holds a culturally competent background with a key interest in adding value to society. Here, he shares some tips as a strategic entrepreneur with a rapidly growing business, offering a unique line of  products nationwide.

How would you briefly describe yourself in a nutshell?

I am a goal oriented individual with a focus on continued progress and action driven leadership. I hold a culturally competent background and a key interest in adding value through the skills I have acquired through various experiences in multiple geographies. I am eagerly interested in taking on new challenges, and currently serve as the founder of a startup under the name of Heaven’s Honey Inc. I am fond of making new connections and networking with diverse backgrounds. To share a personal quote I live by, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

The concept of business was influenced by my desire to create a natural product, where I could truly highlight the benefits of a known natural healthy product and exemplify the taste by using quality ingredients. I wanted healthy to taste good again. As we say around here, we thank our customers daily for allowing us to make their day naturally sweeter.

What was your mission at the outset?

Our mission is to promote healthy dietary alternatives in the form of natural sugars and encourage active lifestyles by selling all-natural high quality products that can be savored with every meal. We hope to make healthy taste naturally sweet again.

To what do you attribute your success?

I attribute success to learning, effort, and results. Without those three, success has no access.

What’s your company’s goals?

Our company’s goal is to be recognized as a natural product brand. We hope to gradually launch a line of products under a uniform company name. There are multiple stores that now carry a line of our specialty honey.

What is unique about your business?

To answer that, we always ask the consumer this question, “Have you ever had strawberry honey?” and the answer is typically “no”. There you have it, you answered your own question. We are a natural flavored and plain honey company, with Plain, Strawberry, Orange, Lemon and Cinnamon, that is what gives us an edge in the market.

What are your responsibilities as the business owner?

I am currently responsible for manufacturing, inventory/supply, marketing/sales, and design.

What made you choose this type of business?

I am a foodie. I love food and with food comes sugary carbonated drinks, and although many of us do not realize gaining weight quick just by consuming sugar heavy drinks is real. I wanted to change that, and make healthy spreads and include honey in my teas, smoothies and juices in other words, make my day naturally sweet again without the guilt and fear of my scale reporting horrific numbers (not to mention the diseases that come forth fairly quickly due to unhealthy dietary habits).

Does your company help the community where it is located?

We certainly do our very best. Up to date we have worked with a couple non profit organizations such as Youth in Motion, The Humanity Projects and we are always on the hunt to attend conferences and events that focus on saving bee colonies, understanding bee behavior, and how to be environment friendly.

Can you describe a time where you overcame challenges?

Many times a day when I go to market my product, I face challenges to sell my product, I overcome these challenges daily by focusing on the needs of the buyer and satisfying their customers every need, make their challenges mine and work together on a solution that works for both of us.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Do not quit. Do not be lazy and do not rely on others. The most important thing is to be organized and focused, remember failure does not mean you forfeit, rather look it in the face and challenge it, and you will take it down, maybe not tomorrow, but a patient and ambitious soul will meet its goals.
