Unanimously acclaimed by the Syrian critics and media as “the most brilliant pianist of his generation” due to his “outstanding theatrical playing both refined and captivating”, he performed, with the SNSO led by Missak Baghboudarian at the Syrian Opera, the 1st Piano concerto created by the Syrian composer Hassan Taha; a major work written for and dedicated to him.
On 2010, he created and operated “Chopin…the Syrian”; a unique project held under the patronage of the prestigious Syrian Opera, through which he celebrated distinctively Frederic Chopin’s bicentennial by performing Chopin’s masterpieces along with solo piano works written exclusively for this occasion and dedicated to him by Chafi Badreddine, Zaid Jabri and Rami Chahin, distinguished Syrian contemporary composers.
Settled in Montreal and intimately inspired by his Middle-Eastern origins, he shall bear through a series of concerts, his own testimony about the dream of co-existence and solidarity between people and different communities sharing a common space in which peace and symbiosis – untraceable to any roots – reign… in perfect harmony.
