New MALA leaders program is geared towards young Muslim American professionals

In Fall 2018, MALA will launch its first civic leadership program geared towards developing young Muslim American professionals.

MALA Young Leaders will meet for private roundtables with civic leaders, social entrepreneurs, and academic experts, and will participate in a series of seminars on leadership, community engagement, and social good.

Ultimately, MALA Young Leaders will promote individual empowerment, independent thought, and diversity as they work to unite Americans of all backgrounds.

For its first cohort, the MALA Young Leaders program will run October 2018 through May 2019. Fellows will be based in Washington, DC, New York City, and Chicago. The full cohort will convene once in each city over the course of the program.

The MALA Young Leaders Program covers travel and participation expenses; the program awards a stipend at the conclusion of the program to those who meet the participation requirements.

Program details will be available May 2018, and the competitive application progress will open in late May 2018, with selections announced in early August 2018. The MALA Young Leaders program is geared toward applicants under the age of 30.
